Pushkar is a temple town, near Ajmer City in the Indian state of Rajasthan. It is about 10 km northwest of Ajmer and 150 kilometers southwest of Jaipur. It is a pilgrimage site for Hindus and Sikhs. Pushkar has many temples. Holi in Pushkar is celebrated at the famous Chowk where thousands of people gather together throwing gulaal in the air, banging music, and joying life.
